Chew Factory Rebranding
This small business was built upon the owner’s attempts to find treats that her dog would eat. This experiment led to the discovery that the owner’s dog only liked treats that didn’t have any preservatives or artificial flavors or coloring. To match a company with such character, I set out to create a new brand. I knew I wanted to better correlate the main image or graphic worked into the logo with the word “chew.” I wanted to improve upon the overall feel of the logo— something more tasteful to match the products’ healthy qualities while still exhibiting a playful charm that compliments the qualities people think of when referring to dogs. Carrying some aspects over, stroke variations were used to add dimension and the colors were kept to encourage a smooth transition to the company’s new identity.
